Heartsaver Course

Our Heartsaver® CPR & AED course is designed for lay responders and non-clinical professionals who want the confidence to act in an emergency. This course provides essential training in adult, child, and infant CPR, use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and basic choking relief.

Through hands-on instruction and real-world scenarios, participants learn how to recognize cardiac emergencies and respond quickly and effectively until advanced help arrives. The course emphasizes safety, preparedness, and practical skills that can be used at work, at home, or in the community.

Successful completion earns a Heartsaver CPR & AED certification, ideal for workplaces, schools, childcare providers, fitness professionals, and the general public.

Course Fees

CPR and AED: $85

2 hours

CPR/AED/First Aid: $125

You must complete the online course and have proof of completion before skills checkoff can be completed.  

Pre-course work and current  Heartsaver book are required.

Please follow the instructions below to do your Pre-course assessment and Pre-course work and have access to all the study material.   The videos will be viewed before class through the listed link, and you will have more time in class for hands-on skills. 

Use the following steps to access the Student Resources: 

1.    Visit elearning.heart.org/courses.

2.    Find the course name: 2025 Heartsaver PRECOURSE SELF-ASSESSMENT AND PRECOURSE WORK 

3.    Once you find your course, select Launch Course to begin.

4.    Print completion certificate
